I recently saw a great film named Bomb the System. The film is about graffiti artists in the city of New York. The film was director Adam Lough's debut feature film and I thought that is was amazing. Lough did a great job of capturing what the gritty life of a grafitti artist would be like. I don't know if the film is still in theaters because it only had a limited release but recomend that you check it out if you get the chance. I think that it will be released on dvd in October sometime. You can find out more if you go the website. - EXTERNAL LINK -

I was just having fun emulating the style of all those immature, grammar-challenged kids who think that they're cool by attacking sophisticated people like John. :)

We'll see if big_dman27 comes back to defend his position. If he's a spammer, we won't hear from him again until he's got another film to tout. If he's legit, as I hope he is, we welcome him with open arms, and he will return to grace us with more of his insights.

In the meantime, who is this Feng character who insists upon disrupting our solemnities? I say we kick him out of town. Oh, he already is out of town. Well, then, throw him off the island. Or the mainland. Or...oh, whatever.

I don't think it is a spam post. It is normal for people to get excited about movies which we otherwise would think to be crappy.

I'm always a little suspicious of first-time posters who pop up suddenly to rave about a new movie and even post the film's Web site address. Maybe I'm just naturally suspicious because we get so many freeloading spammers trying for a little publicity.

Looks pretty retarded. I could probably guesstimate that "Bomb the System" is around the same place on the retarded scale as "The Edukators" (yes, that is really the title of the movie).

Oh yeah, another thing. I don't know if "Bomb the System" could be considered part of the hip-hop subculture, but I'll go ahead and assume that it is. For one thing it is important to note that hip-hop IS NOT a counter-culture. It's a subculture, based around the corporations. For goodness sake, most of it's music is listened to by suburban kids who don't know how to fit in and want to be "hip". I'm not black, and I don't pretend to be black. The whole basis for the hip-hop movement is the struggle of black people in America. And that's about the only merit I can find from the movement. Other than that, I will stick to my saying, RAP IS CRAP!

I think the hip-hop movement originated with homeboy T.J.
