I was just wondering where everyone buys and rents from.
Online or retail? Any stores which really stand out, either good or bad?
Do some stores specialise in certain equipment or genres?

I like Amazon.
Blockbuster is convienient for me, but there are others like Mr. Movies and Hollywood video.

Play is by far the best for buying (much better than amazon and free postage). I've used a few for rentals,.. blockbuster, video island and i love film to name a few. My first was video island then i went onto love film coz the selection was much better but the sendings out slowed down, i then moved onto blockbuster but they took a day longer on average to get the movies out to me so i went back to love film. I sent love film an email asking what the script was with starting off fast then slowing down. They said that users who don't rent a lot get high priority whereas users who rent loads get low priority. Guess where i am on the list lol.

For me love film is still the best though. Easily the best selection.

I'll use Blockbuster and Hollywood Video only for buying previously viewed DVDs. I'll never rent from Blockbuster because of their underhanded rental policies and the way they have treated their rental customers sickens me. I'm not sure how thier Online system and policies work but I'll never know because I refuse to support the evil empire of Blockbuster!

For rental purposes, I use Netflix and have been very pleased with them for the past two-years. They have the widest selection of DVDs I've seen anywhere and most delivery times are within three-days. As Netflix slowly works their way into selling previously viewed DVDs, I'll most likely cut my buying pleasure away from the giant, greedy corporations. Other avenues I take for purchasing are finding good deals online and I sometimes find a good DVD deal at my local "Game Stop", but their selection can be dismal.
