The just announced Ferris Bueller Special Edition will be know as the "Bueller Bueller Edition." I was personally hoping for the "Fry Fry Edition." This has to stop.

And to make matters worse, I will be buying the DVD.

Does anyone have confirmation of this? Not to doubt your good word Johnson316. I've been anxiously awaiting an SE of "Ferris Bueler's Day Off". I hope they were able to get interviews with all of the actors, and make this a legitimate and worth while Special Edition.

Amazon has it for pre-order for a release in January, but doesnt have any details or cover art. $13.99 seems pretty low for a new dvd, even for amazon. Further digging has found the bland cover art, and it is supposedly a 2 disc set.

Yeah, Paramount announced the Ferris Bueller Special Edition entitled, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off: Bueller...Bueller... Edition" in mid September. I'm currently working on the article for the DVD. I've added the DVD into the database with the cover art.

on the subject of DVD trend, I think releasing fullscreen (although they are more aptly titled as "the rejected cut-ups of a once beautifully composed film") DVD's of widescreen movies was an extremely poor choice and judgement call on whoever's part. It practically reinforced the beliefs of all those digitally uneducated "film-lovers" who cried that since fullscreen movies appeared on DVD that obviously they were still the better form. That trend was a mistake, and probably the worst we have ever seen, worse than double, triple (and in some cases) quadrouple (I've lost count on how many "Army of Darkness" releases we have)-dipping and slip covers combined!
