I just spotted a new box set release of The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and The Scorpion King at Best Buy tonight. I think it was called the Franchise Collection. Just wondering if it will find it's way to the DVD Town archives soon.

I added the collection to our database. Don't know if it will be reviewed or not.

They have a Tremors and Jurassic Park set similar to the Mummy one as well. Nice packaging, but not much use if you already have all the movies in the sets.

Yeah, I think The Mummy and the Jurassic Park ones just came out on Tuesday, and I do remember seeing the JP one at Best Buy (the new one at my local mall that just opened last week!), but I can't say I've seen the new Mummy one. It kinda sucks because I just finished my JP collection a few months ago and spend no less than $15 for each title, and the fact that it comes in a cool looking digipak! Damn! Shoulda waited! As for The Mummy set, I do have the first two on tape and I have been wanting to upgrade so I might buy it, just I don't really want The Scorpion King (terrible piece of crap that was).

As far as I know these colletions are just that; just compilations of old discs. I could be mistaken, though. And Universal hasn't announced they're sending out their collections for review.
"The Mummy" and "Jurassic Park" are the only movies worth owning in those sets anyway :)
