In my life time, it started with Superman in 1978. Then we moved on to Batman in 1989. Then on to Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Dick Tracy in 1990. Then we didn't see a new arival until 2000 with X-Men. Followed by Spiderman in 2002, and the Hulk in 2003. We're now looking at the Punisher and Hellboy this year. It's been quite the lucrative run over the last 26 years for comic book storylines in the theater.
It seems that we can't get enough of comic book hero's and superhero's. It almost seems they're running out of "cool" storylines however. According to IMDB.com, the next comic feature we'll see is the "Fantastic Four" in 2005. From what I remember in my childhood, this was a pretty cool cartoon. All of this half makes me wonder if we'll see a Pixar CGI version of "Transformers The Movie" some time in the future.
Does anyone have favorite superhero's/hero's from comics that you'd like to see come to the big screen that we haven't seen yet?

You forgot Blade 1-2 and the upcoming 3, as well as LXG =D.
Catwoman and Blade 3 should be out by the end of the year... and Spidey 2 in summer.
Elektra is getting a spinoff movie that is slated for 2005...
I hear Nicholas Cage is still on board for Ghost Rider...
The laughable Halle Barry costume for Catwoman.... - EXTERNAL LINK -

Eliza Dushku looks hot enough for the part. However, I feel the role needs more than just young and hot. The character, in my opinion, needs to be bold, exotic, dark, edgey, and down-right naughty. I picture something closer to Pfeiffer's character as Cat Woman in Batman II, but hey, that's just me.

Tim,
Who would you cast as Wonder Woman? I remember reading about Sandra Bullock wanting to play the part, though I'm not a Bullock fan myself. Either Sarah Michelle Gellar or Eliza Dushku would work for me. :)

It's been all about "Batman" for me, though I hope that "Spider-Man" will turn into a really good series, too.

Best ideas for comic book casting....
Wonder Woman = Denzel Washington
Superman = Sammo Hung
Batman = Chris Cooper
Incredible Hulk = Kathy Bates
Catwoman = Jim Caviezel
Ok, I lied...these are actually the WORST ideas for comic book casting :p

There are great and terrible superhero movies:
GREAT:
Superman, Superman II, Batman, Batman Returns, X-Men, X2, Spider-man, Blade, 60's Batman (POW! BANG! SPLASH!), The Hulk, The Crow, Men in Black (This movie is about average, I think it's overrated) etc.
TERRIBLE:
The old Punisher, Daredevil, Blade II, Batman Forever (which is okay only because of the cool villains but still a horrible movie), Batman and Robin, LXG (not terrible, it's about average), Superman III and IV, MIB II, The Crow 2 and 3, Captain America (very entertaining, I watch it a lot but it's a bad movie) etc.
There are also many great non-superhero comic book movies, like Road to Perdition, Ghost World, etc.
THESE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE BAD SUPERHERO MOVIES FAR OUTNUMBER THE GOOD ONES.
UPCOMING: Spidey 2 (looks great), Blade:Trinity, The NEW Punisher, Hellboy (out now), Batman Begins (I REALLY hope this is good, to reinvent the franchise) etc.

Tim & Eddie,
Sarah Michelle Geller is a favorite. She's hot, and has the moves for Wonder Woman. I find it's hard to replace the originals when you're so used to them though. I know she's no spring chicken now, but in her day Linda Carter was HOT! I was thinking instead of Eliza Dushku, or Buffy, possibly Jessica Alba? She's SUCH a hottie, and she's got the moves! Jessica should fill all of the parameters you set Tim. She may not fit the roll perfectly though. I could see Sandra Bullock in the roll (purely looks wise) but what about the martial arts and stunt work? To my knowledge she hasn't been all that physical (concerning those things) in her past films.
Depression,
That would be KILLER to see Ghost Rider come to the screen! I had forgotten about that comic! I was a big fan as a kid!
skspence,
Superman has just always hit a chord with me. Maybe because I saw it at such an impressionable age... I'm not sure, but to this day when I hear John Williams' opening theme for Superman, I STILL get chills!

Superman is my favorite superhero movie to date. I still love the first three Batman movies (yes, even Forever) as well as Spider-man and X-Men, but Superman started it all for me as well.
Also, I understand that Charisma Carpenter from Angel is lobbying to pick up the Wonder Woman role. She is definitely a stunner.
Sean (amazons scare me, but I dig invisible jets!)

Well, it's not even the real Catwoman. Apparently, the character has nothing to do with the Batman universe, so .!.. to Warner.
Sarah Michelle Gellar was great as Buffy. She would've been a better Angel than Diaz, Barrymore, or Liu. Plus, she's actually a brunette, so she could be Wonder Woman, sure. However, I understand what Tim means...I'd go with Jennifer Garner if she didn't look like a man. (Wonder Man-Woman? LOL!!!)

Eddie,
Speaking of "Wonder Man-Woman", shouldn't we consider Daryl Hannah for the part? lol :D

See comments for the film "Splash: 20th Anniversary Edition" for Eddie's opinions on Daryl Hannah. Frankly, I'm inclined to agree with him (although she was great in Kill Bill! I had that whistling song in my head for weeks!)

Well, the ultimate man-woman would be jamie lee curtis, who was born a genetic man but had to be surgically altered into a woman because he/she/it was born without a *****. :o

this could work, if not for the bulge in front of the spandex star suit, due to sandra bullock's penis.

I've heard the JLC rumor rumor so many times, but it's so hard to believe yet incredibly easy to believe at the same time. All well...

Matt,
I think you're a bit confused. Sandra Bullock is one of the hottest women to hit Hollywood! On top of which she's dating famed metal worker and Bike builder (Monster Garage) "Jesse James". I'm fairly certain Jesse James is strait.
I've never heard the "Jaimee Lee Curtis rumor" until this message board. I don't believe it. But that doesn't mean it's not true. She's a good actress in my book. I'll leave it at that.
