Call me crazy but when traveling I find airports to be one of the more interesting aspects. They are like some diverse intersection for thousands of people. Basically Hanks is visiting America but his homeland has erupted in war and must be detained at the airport until the situation back home clears up. He ends up living at the Kennedy airport in NY for months and ends up sparking a romance for Catherine Zeta Jones.

Amidst all of the Troys, Van Helsings, Spidermans, and King Arthurs I am probably looking forward to this more so. I don't know if it's my admiration for Hanks and Speilberg (especially combined efforts), interest in airports, attraction to Catherine on screen, the guilty pleasure of enjoying an occasional romance comedy, or maybe it's all of the above. But I have high hopes for this fim.

it looks great, doesn't it?

it's based on the real-life story of a guy in paris's airport. he's been there for at least 10 years, i think. :o

Yes, it looks really good.

It is great to see Spielberg change genres. He is not affraid to explore his talent and try new things.

One of the very best directors in Hollywood.
