Did anyone here catch that short Batman movie that circulated the net last year?

The batsuit looks cool.
I get the feeling like this film is headed into a gritty, film noir direction, what with the new suit and batmobile. While I haven't gotten used to the batmobile yet, the suit is cool and I think this is the direction this film needs to take if it hopes to revitalize the franchise that Joel Schumacher KILLED with his campy flavor. That camp was fine in the 60's, I love the 60's Bat movie, but in the new millenium it's different. With a great cast and director, I can't wait to see this film and I hope it is one of the best superhero movies. It will be a tough act, for although my fave hero is Spider-man, Batman is a close second and Batman and Batman Returns are STILL the best superhero movies ever.

Actually Stan Lee himself said everything seen in the movie the Hulk is capable of doing.

I really enjoyed the movie. The only thing I didn't like was the final battle. I thought it was too dark, I could hardly tell what was really going on most of the time.

Welllll...as you said many times, you can't rate a movie highly if you didn't like it. And in case you didn't know, not living up to expectations has alot to do with not liking a film.

That said, I think the Hulk is an okay movie, but I HATED the score. G*ddamned phony-indian-chanting bullsh*t. And the film's laughable portrayal of the Hulk's abilities are terribly implausible to say the least: jumping a couple miles each leap? Right.

Okay...I finally saw "The Hulk" last night. Why didn't anyone tell me how good it was??? It sucks that, when it didn't meet people's expectations for an action movie, they turned against it and called it a bad movie rather than simply saying that it wasn't what they wanted. The movie is a serious, absorbing drama that happens to have a big green guy. I also admired how well the filmmakers were able to absorb the comic-book aesthetic when editing and using multiple split-screens. I'd probably give it a 7 or an 8 out of 10.

From the dark-ish photos we've seen, I'd say Bale looks the part of Batman so far. He's tall and well-built enough to be an impending figure in that suit.

Hopefully BB is on its way to being a great Batman movie!

*on a side note: ever since I watched Empire of the Sun as a kid, I can't really watch Bale as an adult without picturing him as Jamie occasionally. He really did make an impression with his performance in that film.
