I've had some pretty good luck at DVDTown... :o
What are you referring to, specifically? Are you talking about the breakdown of films into their thematic elements? Are you wanting to get info on technical aspects? Analysis is a pretty broad arena.
Sean (heh, DVDTown...sheepish grin...)

Analysis: The separation of an intellectual or material whole into its constituent parts for individual study.
That's not what we do, per se. We're a review site, not so much academic. The problem is, you're not going to find much in the way of academic study of film on the Internet. However, since we've got several professors, teachers, students of film, and graduate students on staff here, you're not going to find a better resource.
Most people simply aren't interested in discussing thematic elements or narrative structures, let alone more interesting character studies because it forces them to confront the fact that their favorite movie may not be all that great on a technical level. Where good film scholars excell is in being able to break down a film to find out what makes it tick without applying broad and general rules or ruining the enjoyment of the whole. Oft, I've found, the sum is greater than the parts. There are movies I like, love even, that aren't technically sound according to topics I myself have written on for the Academy.
But if there is anything you want to discuss, just start talking and we'll all join in, I'm sure!
