Another solid movie added to Cruise's impeccable resume.

I really liked this one. Cruise does a great job at creating this brooding presence leaving you feeling he and only he is incontrol. Similar to the way you felt when watching Phonebooth. It's almost as if you're in the cab along for the ride as well. Surprisingly Foxx also flexed his acting abilities. His responses and reactions were very believable. I also found it to be a well written movie. The dialogue between the two leads is interesting, smart and often times witty.

Decided to go with my parents and see it again. Tom Cruise really is an extraordinary actor and truly shines in this movie. Vincent is a character that is ruthless, witty, charming, cold, compassionate, and for someone who kills for a living, very collected.

the trailers for "ray" look fantastic. foxx looks, sounds, and acts like the real ray charles.

Agreed, this has got to be one of the better movies of the year. I loved the video photography, the colors were awesome. Michael Mann was saying he liked it because the sky was grey and not black, allowing all sorts of stuff to come out and he was right. Tom Cruise continues to be one of my favorite actors today, delivering another great performance. I was also shocked how well Foxx carried himself. Of course, he showed talent in Any Given Sunday and Ali, was this was totally out of left field. Wished Ruffalo had more screen time. Peter Berg is one actor who I like seeing, but seems like he's more interested in directing these days.
