hey loyal dvdtown readers, its me again. just wanted to let you know that i just got back from seeing Napoleon Dynamite for the third time (first time with the new ending!!!!). And as expected, it was incredible. If you havent seen this film, I would advise you to drop what youre doing, and head to the cinema this instant. It is definetly the funniest movie ive ever seen, and with out a doubt (in anyones eyes) the funniest movie made in the last 5 years. this is way funnier than the "funny" comedies of this year that try so hard they dont even make you sniker (*cough* dodgeball *cough* envy *cough* starsky and hutch*)(yes, i hate ben stiller).

so, if you havent seen it yet, GO SEE NAPOLEON DYNAMITE NOW!!!

the new ending is ok. you have to wait until the credits finish. (i wouldnt have stayed, but someone at school told me to and i follow orders like a good boy should). kip and "La Fawn duh" (as kip spells it on the sign) get married. the pastor is the guy from the chicken farm who mumbles incohearent "words". (do they have sharp talons?) the best part is when napoleon comes riding in on a horse with some medievel shirt on, and almost falls off. La Fawn duh's family looks so ashamed at the groom, and its hilarious to see their faces. it racks in at only about a minute and a half, but its definetly worth it.

I should pre-empt this reply by saying that at first glance at the trailer for this movie, I had no inkleing whatsoever to see it. It looked like a lame "High School" movie, that held no merit for anyone else but that crowd.

After hearing a lot of my friends tell me that they'd seen this movie 3 and 4 times already, and still wanting to see it again... I had to see what the "to do" was about. I must say that after seeing it, I'd have to say it's probably the most bizarre and funny film I've seen in quite a while! I really do need to "think outside the box" in terms of movie going sometimes. "Napoleon Dynamite" is a very unique movie, and I can see why it fared so well at the "Sundance Film Festival". I find myself wanting to see this movie again. There's just too much to take in the first time around. You're too preoccupied wondering "what the heck was that about?!". Once you're in tune with the movie's humor, it's hillarious! I'm not sure that many people in the "Baby Boomer" generation (and prior) would like this film much, but I think is speaks to every generation afterwards.

So, for those out there that were fans in the first place, I've joined ranks with you. I misjudged this movie.
