I'm a video artist and need a DVD player that is wired to play a single DVD over and over (repeat) until power is turned off. Most importantly, it will start playing the DVD repeatedly when power is again turned on. Does such a machine exist ?

Mopix,

I'm not positive about this, but I'm almost positive both of my Sony DVD players have the option to play continuously in the DVD player setup menue, and I believe it remains that way until it's "unplugged", or you change it. Sony's have a nice feature of a power button (on the player itself) that keeps the player powered with minimal power to maintain memory settings. When you press the power button on the remote, it puts the player in a "standby" mode. I believe this would solve your problem. You could go to - EXTERNAL LINK - or - EXTERNAL LINK - under electronics, not to mention yahoo shopping, and a bunch of others. I'm partial to Sony only because of their track record, and personal experience. While I'm sure there are probably other DVD players out there that may be just as good, and or less expensive, I tend to stick with the known longevity brands.

Hope that helps.

- Josh
