Yeah, too lazy to find the other thread on this. But I hope they find someone like Sam Raimi who knows the material inside and out, and hold the source material in highest regards.

I enjoyed Singer's works a lot, but there was a lot of things I would have done differently being a fan of the comics/cartoons which Singer wasn't. For instance, how he decided to run the whole Kitty Pride/ Jubilee newcomer role with Rouge is still a mystery to me.

I never really liked Singer as a director. His films are very bland and his camera angles are so-so, nothing is really spectacular in his films, he never uses enough colour, it's always like watching a budgeted independant film, which there is nothing wrong with, but I want the hollywood escapism of Hellboy, or Spiderman. Singer never provided that for me. Raimi would make an excellent choice. Then maybe WB would finally give him a Batman film (he wanted to do the third, but the studio thought that he wouldn't make the movie big enough to make enough money *Cough, Cough- Spider-man* Cough, instead the gave it to Joe Shoemaker so that he could turn Batman into a homosexual leather fetish film- sounds like The Matrix Revolutions...) and Raimi will rule the comic book films! (sorry about the exclamation mark, but it looks nice there)

Yeah, you gotta love it when people like Peter Jackson and Sam Raimi get turned down by certain people but then find someone who is willing to invest in them and end up surpassing any expectations imaginable.
