I will purchase a Sony 42" HD rear projector television soon and would like to complement that with a HDMI dvd player. Price range is $250.
Currently looking at Toshiba SD-5970. It has a lot of features inlcuding HDMI, DVI-I, progressive scan, 3-2 pull down, 1080i/780p, inversion, etc. Pretty good for $178. But it is not region free.

Any body can recommend a similar DVD player with similar features but region free or region free capable with certain hack operations.
