Hello there,
I have searched a lot of places for my ideal DVD player but to no avail. What I am looking for is a DVD player that is small and compact (though not the portable ones with the screen attached to it).
I recently brought a Matsui DVD225 which I thought was perfect. It was lightweight (2Kg), measured 260(W) x 260(D) x 50(H)mm, was multi-region and it cost under £30 ($60). Now the problem was that it could not play VCDs (this is quite a big problem for me as I have a lot of existing VCDs in my collection). So, I have had to return the player.
Please would anybody recommend a DVD player for me that has the above features and can play VCDs too.
Many thanks.

Well , nowadays at the market there are lots of producers with various quality.
I have Pioneer DV 454 player for 3 years now, and so far there haven't been any problems with it.
I have heard(from a friends) that Sony has pretty good players (very reliable, and proveed already too), so it is up to you to decide dude!:D

Did you find a new DVD player that meets your needs ?
If so, which model ?
If not, here you can browse Sony DVD players:

You might try the consumer magazines for features & reliability etc.
If you watch DVD's a lot, you might go to the store and lift them all up. The heaviest ones probably have the most (reliable) metal and less plastic.
Did you enter DVD Town's DVD player contest?;);)
