I am setting up a Home theater and wondering what is the best DVD player which can play DVDs and VCDs. The DVD should be HDMI capable as my Projector I am installing takes HDMI input. Also, I watch lot of movies which are PAL based and that means the player should handle both NTPC and PAL formats.
My Configuration:
Denon-3806 Receiver
Paradigm Monitor 11 and Bi-diagonal speakers
Paradigm 12 inch Sub Woofer
Panasonic - AT 700U Projector
thanks

If you like denon, I hear they have some pretty good high end players. Kinda pricy though. Also kinda pricy but good is pioneer. Everytime I go in to a home theater store to see their projectors, they have it hooked up to a denon or pioneer and the picture they display looks really good. I don't know much about those formats you asked about though. I would just check the specs.
sorry I couldn't be much help. Let us know how your projector looks when you get it hooked up. I've heard great things about the Panasonic - AT 700U Projector. :)

Try out the OPPO OPDV971H 720p/1080i Upconverting HDTV-Ready DVD Player. This has had high reviews and benchmarks just like the Denon at a fraction of the price. I too watch alot of pal DVD and this is a free region and HDCP player. It is awesome!
