i saw this movie on friday and thought it was an ok stupid action flick. this officially features the worst actors of all time. the token "southern gal" loses her accent half way through the movie (this is not a film). this also features a horrible script with plot holes as big as the anacondas themselves. in the beginning, when the expedition is being talked out, they send the buissmen in to the jungle! is this logical! wouldnt they (a multi-million dollar looking busisness, located very high up in a new york city office) hire explorers, or at least people who knew what they are doing!?! also, you would think they could fly a helicopter right the the flowers, get them, and fly out, right? instead they ride down a river in a local (who happens to be an american in borneo) captains boat that looks to be made of old warped plywood and rusty metal sheets.

also the ending pissed me off (SPOILER ALERT!). after the remaining members of the group kill only 3 anacondas, they board their home-made raft and float down the river with no food, water, or ways to reach anyone. aslo they have no idea how many of these snakes are left! they are in a river where the first anaconda attacked their party! wouldnt they be cautious?!?! they are all happy, and chatting it up. i thought there would be a scene of a helicopter or something picking them up, but no. they float down stream on their hand crafted boat made of sticks, and then we see the credits. no explaination or anything! i guess the producers thought the intended audience couldnt watch more than 99 minutes of this schlock.

also, one question. is this in any relation to "Anaconda", with jennifer lopez? the two friends of mine who i saw this with kept referring to it as "the second one", or saying, "the same thing happened in the first one!". i kept saying they werent related apart from the name, but i really dont know. so, is this related in any way to Anaconda?

did anyone else see this? if so, how did you like it?

Sorry, Matt, looks like you're alone on this one.

I watched the first "Anaconda" on TV cable a few years ago and found it an amusing throwback to the old days of corny, 50s-style monster movies, this one with really bad CGI. But the new movie stars different people, and I see it's been made by a different studio. It may or may not be an actual sequel.

Anacondas = No Ice Cube
I am not going to see it, not that I saw the first one (if it is a sequel) until it was on television.
I find Ice Cube's acting hilarious (Have you seen Ghosts of Mars?)

I Dont know about you people, but this kind of movies, i wait until they are released on dvd, I would never go and spent 7 bucks after watching those trailers, with the tv-serie like CGI's and those unfamiliar, teenage-that-had-his-lucky-brake-type faces screaming.
Im Ditching Resident evil 2 as well, i really dont wanna see the 1st movie from different angles.

S Coaster,

I agree completely! But why waste $3 - $4 on a "rental"? Why not wait until these movies hit the "dollar theaters" if you feel you need to see them? "Anaconda's" just seems to scream "DO NOT SEE" (sorry Matt). I saw the first one when it hit HBO, and I have to say, "Anaconda" was one of the most horrible movies I've ever seen! I'm surprised it had "John Voight" in it. The fact that it had "Ice Cube" should have been a warning though. The only movie's I've been impressed with Ice Cube's acting were "Boyz N The Hood", and "Friday". "Anaconda's" looks to have such horrible acting and equally horrible CG, that it makes me wonder why anyone would even want to waste their money on it even when it hits the dollar theaters!
