I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but there are times when I post something (mainly in DVD comments) that I have problems. My post shows, but along with it is another post with absolutely nothing in it but my handle, the date, edit option, etc. Now I have screwed up and hit post topic when I wanted to edit, this I totally get, but I just posted a comment under "Vice Versa" and a second post was there as well. I didn't even go back to edit or anything. It's only happened a couple of other times, but I swear, I'm not crazy!
Just thought I should let you know.
Sean (heck I can't stand double dipping. I'd hate to be involved in double posting!)

Yeah, it's happened to me a couple of times, too.
Henning, I wonder if we could have a "delete" option as part of the "edit" function?

Please. The problem has been haunting me for months. Eventually, I make up new stuff and edit it into the post, but if this could be avoided, I would appreciate it.

I've had a similar problem. I checked the box on my profile so that it automatically logs me on to this site whenever I'm on my home computer. Sometimes, when I post a message or a comment, I'll write something really long that I'm satsified with and then when I click submit it says that I'm not logged in and it deletes my whole message/comment that took a long time to write, yet I am logged on to the site. Does anyone know how I can correct this problem?
Thanks!
Thanks!

TGP,
My suggestion, and what I now do since I have had this same problem, is that once I have finished my post, I highlight and copy the entire thing before hitting post reply. That way, if I wasn't logged off, everything's okay, but if I was logged off, I simply log back on and paste the post in the appropriate thread.
Hope this helps!
Sean (it takes me days to write a two-line post...) :D

I worte a large post for the board about things I noticed in the Matrix films (anagrams, underlying themes, hidden images/meanings) and the whole thing was erased. You can imagine how pissed I was. I had to write my comment for Fight Club 3 times becasue of this.

I know it seems like a lot of trouble, but if you're going to post a detailed message on the Message Board, it might not be a bad idea to write it up first in a word processor, save it, and then copy and paste it to the Board.
