I know that this has nothing to do with movies or DVD's (yet), but the other day on the news, they announced that J.K. Rowling would be killing off one of Harry's peers. The way I understood it was that it's going to be "Ron" or "Hermione". However it would make more sense to kill off one of the secondary characters like "Neville" or one of the others. Does anyone have any further info. on this, or any guesses as to whom it will be?

And, as usual, I disagree with Eddie. However, that's the fun of this site. I can disagree with him and get away with it. :p :D

Nah, I'm no hater like that guy who started the "Hating Lucas" thread (to this day, his remarks make no sense...). However, I still think that Chris Columbus needs to re-make "Harry Potter 3" IMMEDIATELY--Cuaron didn't know what he was doing.

LOL. I was just joking... on a few different posts, I've noticed you either love something, or you hate it. ;)

John,
That would be hillarious if Rowling adopted my title. I don't know if Rowling would let her publishers push her around like that. She sort of strikes me as being hard headed when it comes to her stories... sort of like Lucas. I remember the news casters saying that Rowling said she didn't like the direction that the character in question has gone.
Eddie,
What happened to you man?! Lately you seem to lean towards one or the other extreme! :D... PS "Man!! That Michael Jordan is so phony!"
Sean,
Are you back with us? Or is the new job eating up your time?

Maybe she just wants to end the series, the way Arthur Conan Doyle tried to kill off Sherlock Holmes when the author got tired of writing about him anymore. Of course, the public wouldn't stand for it back then, just as the public wouldn't stand for Rowling killing off one of her main characters today. Her publisher wouldn't let her do it, either. Means too much money.
But I like Josh's new title for an upcoming adventure: "Harry Potter and the Dead Peer." Sounds like a moneymaker to me.

I think my initial post may have been misunderstood. I don't know for sure that J.K. Rowling will be killing off "Ron" or "Hermione", that's just how I understood it from the news cast. Aparantly she talks about this on her website www.jkrowling.com (pretty cool site) but I haven't found the reference yet. There's a lot to read there. It doesn't make sense that she'd kill off one of the main characters, but it might be the case. In the news report, they said that J.K. Rowling didn't specify on her site as to whom would get the axe. So... there you have it. Speculate away. ;)

If J.K. kills off Hermione, then I'm going to boycott Book 7 and the rest of the movie series.
