Ah yes... good good. I'm glad that's taken care of. However, in conversing with you Eddie, Tim, Justin, and John, I'm thinking some level of "rabble rousing" must be a prerequisite to work for DVDTown. Maybe the rabble rousing just runs strong with Tim? ;)

So, does anyone have any conspiracies on whom "the dead peer" is yet?

Tim,

Yes, I think you've got it! I mean, here you've got Hermione; the brainy know-it-all equivelant to "Velma". Then you've got Hagrid the scragley guy that sort of keeps to himself, and his faithful companion Fang, that are equivelant to "Shaggy & Scooby". Then there's Harry who's somewhat of a 'Jock', playing Quidiche and what not... so there's your "Fred". Although it seems that we can't match up a "Daphney". Though, Hermione wasn't made out to be your stereotypical nerd, with glasses and the whole getup, so maybe Rowling combined Daphney and Velma to come up with Hermione? It's all very suspect. ;) :D

Eddie,

My money's on "Orco". Or at least I'd much rather see him go. ;)

I only read books 1-3, but my money's on that it will be a very unimportant character. I agree with Josh, that maybe she just wants us talking about the series again. I my opinion, the series has steadily lost my inyterest with every book/movie.

If we are going with this Scooby-doo setup, then Ron is definitely Scrappy-doo, the one no one likes, but hangs around.
Anyone ever thought she might kill of a teacher or even (Gasp!) Hagrid? She might kill off Voldemort (if you bought this one, then you'll buy the next one) or even the faithful DOBBY! But in the end it will probably be a over sized pumpkin that was having explicit relationtions with a large candle while floating above the dinner table. That way you don't feel bad that the pumpkin died, cause it was evil and violated the rules (and a lot more than that if you follow), and J.K. still gets to keep her promise, it's perfect!
In the newspaper I saw only the headline (IT MADE FRONT PAGE!) but it said she was killing off another character, so why not a teacher? Maybe Dumblybore, so that way Harry has to sacrifice himself to save the world! ...And find the Jade Monkey!

"Personally, I actually know parents who will not let their kids watch the films because they deal with “witchcraft”. These parents, of course, are strong churchgoers. Amazing how something of the imagination can either scare or offend people."

While I myself am not sure about the actual evilness of Harry Potter, you have to realize that their worry is not entirely unfounded, because Harry Potter makes frequent references to actual occult legends. For example, the philosopher's stone, Nicholas Flamel, and the Chamber of Secrets. And JK Rowling is a strange lady. Not that any of that necessarily constitutes intentional evil...

They better not kill Ron. He's my favorite character.
