Seann William Scott: Bo
Johnny Knoxville: Luke
Jessica Simpson: Daisy Duke
Burt Reynolds: Boss Hogg
Willie Nelson: Uncle Jesse

Current rumours posit Tim Blake Nelson as Sheriff, Roscoe P. Coltrane, Hogg’s right-hand man.

"The Dukes Of Hazzard" will be out next year.

Hopefully, they can come up with a plot good enough so they don't have to go through an hour of getting the cast and car together and explaining everything.

Maybe so, Josh. Fact is, even in its day, I never liked it as a kid. ;)

Tim,

Keep in mind, that this TV show's largest demographic probably wasn't adults. I myself was a kid when it came out, and loved it "as a kid". If I tried to watch a "Dukes Of Hazzard" episode now, it would be easier to watch than some of the other shows I thought were great at that age, but it is still hard to watch as an adult. About the only great thing about that show is that every time they jumped the "General Lee", they destroyed a Dodge Charger. Actual destruction versus CG destruction. Gotta love it!

Why not?

Because Hollywood needs to stop relying on rehashing old TV shows and concentrate on finding good and original writers. First of all, "Dukes of Hazzard" had to be the lamest television shows ever made. I mean, how exciting can it be to watch a couple guys get chased around by the county sherifs Dept in every episode? Woo hoo, there's nothing I enjoy more than a television show that can lower my IQ to that of a back-woods Hillbilly.

Second of all, the whole revamping any TV show is getting remarkably old in my opinion. Anytime Hollywood rekindles some old show form the past, it's their way of saying, "hey, we've ran out of ideas, so here's a filler movie to close the gap". To me, it's as if Hollywood has become nothing more than a recycle machine. And of all TV shows to make into a movie . . . Dukes of Hazzard? Please, give me a break!!!

Tim (just my two cents and I hope this film dies a very quick death) :@
