I have two questions, that are in a way related.
First, is there a possibility to edit one´s own reader´s comment? I am the type who is strongly embarrassed by his misspeled words the day after...
Second, what is the site´s policy on inapropiriete language and suggestions? Does the editor take liberty to ban certain comments in the message board?

I've been asking the editor, Henning Molbaek, the same first question for months. My replies and comments are sometimes in need later readjustment, too, because of typos or just plain bad spelling. There should be some way to edit the Reader Comments as we do the Message Board comments. Henning, if you're listening.... (Otherwise, I'll ask him again personally.)
As to your second question, yes, the editor has the right to edit inappropriate language on the Message Board and in the Reader Comments, and Henning has done so on occasion. It's his site; he can do anything he darn well pleases, and more power to him. But he has never banned a free expression of thought, much to his credit. Also, he has properly deleted messages that were clearly intended as promotional ads, one recently for possibly pirated DVDs.

The reason I ask the question about editing inapropriete comments is because there appeared a sort of a strange worded comment in Spanish, directed at me. While I do consider myself posessing a sense of humor, I would prefer something like that written to my email rather than said in the public forum for the whole world to read.

Thankfully, our readers have been mature enough to avoid using harassing language.
However, one guy has been asking John about sending him his (John's) copy of LXG to him. He's also acting really weirdly, and I've warned him about being too solicitous.

About that comment: it was no big deal like I made it sound. It was just one of those jokes that would be perfectly but for the fact that the guy does not know me enough. For the record I was not offended. Sorry for all of this ado about nothing, really.

May I ask the editors to please remove my false start in the readers comments for "I Am Sam" where there is a blank space instead of an actual comment. Thank you.
