I think this has been mentioned before, but perhaps there could be a catch-all kind of forum for discussions that don't necessarily fall into the "New on DVD," "New in Theaters," or "HDDVD" categories. Maybe just a general General category or Other Stuff category.
Right now the only "General" forum is under HDDVD which when I first got here didn't realize was really just general questions pertaining to HDDVD. Yes, I was the idiot posting unrelated things in the HDDVD forum!
So, am I off my rocker, or does anyone else get where I'm coming from?
Sean (...actually, my rocker broke, so I'm currently sitting on the floor...)

I think we need a forum just for Sean. Either we're going to have put him on staff or give him his own forum. We love ya, Sean; keep writing in.
(By the way, I always thought we needed just one or two big forums. I keep getting mixed up about what's where, and I work here!)

I agree, Sean is off his rocker! Just kidding. I know I've made the same suggestion in the past. I think Henning is just up to his eyeballs with work, otherwise I think it would have been done by now.

Here he goes again!
John,
We could call it..."New With Sean" to go with the whole "New On DVD" and "New in Theaters" motif!
Actually, only a couple of forums would be pretty cool, but on a few occasions I've noticed where some folks (who shall go nameless) have blasted people for posting in places when the post itself really doesn't fit into any of the current categories. Just thought a more general "General" forum might help in some of these instances. Dunno. Your idea of just a couple of forums would be great since overspecialization can often lead to confusion.
Thanks for listening to my spoutings and for doing such a great job. Henning and the rest of the staff: YOU ROCK!
Sean (...not like a Pet Rock, but like a rock that is rocky in all of its rocked-out rockiness...)

I "generally" always go to the "new posts" once I hit the message board. You may notice that I stop responding to old posts once they are gone from the "new posts" section. I do this because I'm simply lazy and it would require an effort to go dig around for old messages.
With that in mind, what I would like to see is make the "new posts" section bigger and make it so when someone responds to a post that it is placed at the top.

Sean,
We're going to have to have you work on your sign off's man... they've been lacking lately. ;) :D
What a completely spiffing idea Timmy old boy.. I do say! I like the idea of the most recently responded to post moving to the top. However, if people kept on posting on the same topic, it would never move to the archives! And some of the newer posts that don't get as many responses would be bumped to the archives even though they're newer than the most recent one! Sound confusing enough? It's ok, I think I confused myself on that one!

Tim,
I never noticed that you "...stop responding to old posts once they are gone from the "new posts" section...." -since I usually don't go looking after they're gone. So I agree that the "new posts" section could be bigger.

Hey Time, I think many of us do the same thing: We stop usually stop posting in threads that have dropped out of the hot list LOL

YCH, I notice you also post on the FM forums. You get your copy of Doom3 today I'm assuming?
