Sasha,

Well, we review R1 DVDs, and unless your status has changed since the last time that we discussed this matter, we wouldn't be able to use your reviews.

Oh, don't worry. You'll get movies like "Demonlover" and you'll instantly learn how to hate.

I'm a little too afraid I'd turn out like "Homer" trying to be a "food critic". ;)

Eddie:

I remember what you said before. But there are different editions of R2 movis too. The ones that come out of Spain for the Spaniards often have different extras, or none at all. But the ones that come out of UK for the English and the Irish are identical in content with R1 releases with only the rating changed according to the UK law. Plus, there is an obvious advantage. European movies are released here months before they are in America; the same goes for TV shows. ER is now out up to Season 2, The West Wing is out up to Season 3, Will and Grace is out up to Season 5, and so on. What John said about the deadlines makes sense. I could provide an edge on the competition.

I now have access to British releases.

I am asking you to reconsider.

Sasha,

Another couple of minor concerns: First, each of the reviewers at DVD Town is responsible for specific studios, with only a few small studios left unaccounted for. Second, I'm not sure the big studios would appreciate our reviewing things that their PR offices hadn't even received yet. They would wonder how we obtained "advance" discs and probably ask us to stop it. If they found out we weren't even reviewing their Region 1 products, they'd probably be even madder. It's not a chance the site would probably want to take.

Sasha,

You seem not to understand the part about R1 DVDs...what does reviewing a R2 DVD from Britain have to do with reviewing a R1 DVD from the U.S.? :)

We're still looking for writers, including reviewers and news updaters. :)
