Does anyone have any idea when MGM, or Sony, since they bought them, will re-release the Bond DVDs? I'm still missing some, and do not with to double dip later on. Any info will help! Thanks in advance.

I was lucky enough to buy up the 21 deep sets before they ran out. I'm sure they will re-distribute a new batch soon enough. The first round was very successful for MGM.

Hey, thanks for the quickness :) I was actually hoping that since the buy-out of MGM and stuff, that maybe Sony (isn't Sony a division of Columbia/Tri-Star?) would do a superbit Bond collection. Now that's wishful thinking, at least for me!

Actually, Sony owns Columbia/Tri-Star, not the other way around.
Also, Sony's buyout of MGM is still not final for two reasons: 1) Sony is not buying MGM alone (it has several partners in a complicated deal) and 2) money and stock technically have not been exchanged, so MGM is still operating as if it were an independent company.

And my guess is that the next incarnation of the Bond series that we'll see will in high def. If MGM jumps into the HD fray, the Bonds are their first logical choice for enticing consumers into the new technology.

According to thedigitalbits.com, the James Bond DVDs will be available here in the states in 4 seperate volumes, 5 movies each. Does that mean we will not be getting the complete box set with ALL of them, like the UK got? The packaging alone on their box set is really cool, and it'd be nice to have something similar if not the exact same.
If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it!
