This movie's trailer looks as beautiful as the "Hero" trailer. I'm completely ticked that it's only opening up in California and New York. Eddie, I hope you're going to be able to make it to this premier and give us a review when you get back!! This looks like a very cool movie.
- Josh
PS.
Eddie, this one is by "Sony Pictures" so we should have a very nice DVD release!

Josh,
Since I review DVDs, I don't get invited to movie screenings. However, I'm seeing it tomorrow afternoon (4 December), and I'm going to try to write a review if possible.

Eddie, you are the man! I'm envyous! I hope this movie does well enough that we'll see a nationwide release. For the most part here in Utah (being the home of the "Sundance Film Festival") we usually get the small release, and film festival movies here. So I'm fairly confident we'll see HOFD (SMMF) :D released here at "some point". But it may not be for a month or two!! :@ Oh well... best things come to those who... oh to heck with that!! I WANT IT NOW!!!

Well, with movie theatres being so crappy, watching it at home may be more enjoyable than sharing the movie with a bunch of noisy idiots. :p

Hate to burst the bubble, but it's the worst movie I have seen this year. And many friends more or less agreed with me. Instead of House of Fly Daggers, it should have been titled as House of Yawning Audience. Never have I sat in a hall with so many other cinema patrons yawning loudly. Me included except that I covered my mouth. I grew up with wu xia movies and this is probably one of the worst I have seen. I would be shocked if it's nominated for Best Foreign Film at next year's Oscar.

Josh,
It's taking more time than I thought that I would need in order to digest this movie. Look for a review sometime later this week.

That's too bad because the movie is really breathtaking on the big screen.

Thanks Eddie. I'll still have to see it on DVD because I live in the backwards city of Milwaukee, Wi.Booooo Wisconsin.
