Alright, various critics groups have made their voices heard, so here are my revised guestimates.

Director: Martin Scorsese, Gangs of New York (one of those it's-about-time situations, but personally, I only liked Raging Bull from this guy)

Foreign Film: Huit Femmes (Eight Women) (Talk to Her and Y Tu Mama Tambien aren't eligible for one reason or another...)

Animated Feature: Spirited Away

Actor: Jack Nicholson, About Schmidt

Actress: Nicole Kidman, The Hours (for that prosthetic nose as well as for her FANTASTIC LEGS)

Supporting Actor: Dennis Quaid, Far From Heaven (admirers of his performances in Far From Heaven and The Rookie will make him a surprise winner)

Supporting Actress: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Chicago (a lock)
