T4 Was announced recently, with Director Jonathan Mostow behind the wheel (U 571,T3)
My feelings are that its gonna be Even worse than T3. There was a thought during t3's pre-production to place Vin Diesel Opposite Arnold but they ended up with the female Terminator, i hope they use that idea for the 4th.
What are your predictions about this?

I don't think that Arnold would be able to play the Terminator, since he's governor, but Vin Diesel would be great in the role. He could be like a robot that can act. So much better than the other actor I heard they had wanted: The Rock... [shudders];)

Well, Vin is great for the part i think, but i think they are trying to market "the rock" as the new Arnie. If i remember well from "welcome to the jungle" arnie walked next to "the rock" while he was entering a club saying "have fun" or smt.
Well, Vin and The rock are both "pop-corn" actors....meaning they can only act brainless- gun holding parts, but if u compare the both of them in that same scale...vin is a bit higher than the rock.

What I would like to know is what is T4 going to be about? I'm hoping that it's all post-apocalyptic, and basically 2 hours worth of the fight against the machines. I always loved the opening of T2 and wanted to see more of that. That's basically all they can do now. The only major plot they can follow is getting Kyle Reese back to the past to protect Sarah Conner. That way you have a complete loop.

He's pretty obsessive about the game, I would imagine so. He's also a hardore video gamer. Which is probably why the Riddick game for the Xbox is so good. He knows what gamers like.
Too bad his latest movie the Pacifier makes it look like he doesn't know what movie fans like.

All I know is that I've greatly enjoyed all of the Terminator movies thus far.
Fortunately they have finally taken the series in a well-defined direction so that we won't necessarily have to deal with "two have come back in time...one for good and one for evil and the other one's cat who's an allergen waiting to happen and the other terminator who's steak wasn't cooked right because Sarah Connor's nephew left Sizzler to fight the machine rebellion..." The whole going back in time to stop the future throughline has worn thin.
I just give kudos to Mostow and his team for having the guts to press onward and actually advance this story rather than rehashing the same thing again.
Sean (though beef rehash ain't too bad...) ;)

I think I'll wait for video on this. It's just not going to be the same without Arnold, and, after all, it honestly is his highest achievement next to becoming Governor.
Personally, I hate it when Hollywood presses on and ends up completely wrecking a great idea. I mean, has everyone forgot what happened when Hollywood decided to make George Clooney Batman?
I think it's like Chris Rock says. "If you can't get Arnold and all you can get is Vin . . . wait!"

Speaking of Vin. I was quite pleased to see he is in an upcoming Sidney Lumet film. Lumet is responsible for at least two of my favorite films (Fail Safe and 12 Angry Men). Perhaps we can see if Mr. Diesel (man that sounds ludicrous) is actually any kind of artiste. If anyone can make him look good, I think Lumet can.
Opinions?
Sean (and if it differs from mine, keep it to yerself!...) ;)

Yes, I saw a preview of that and it appears the guy can actually act. Personally, I think the guy has better acting skills then say The Rock or Arnold when it comes to tough guys. Now, don't trap me in a corner here and point out that if I think his skills are so good, then why can't I accept him as the Terminator. That is simply a preference issue and nothing else. To me the Terminator is such a concrete icon of Arnold, and to have someone else take the helm is like having Kuana Reeves take on the role of Capt. James T. Kirk; it simply doesn't work.
Do I think they should put the breaks on making a T4? Yes. Should they wait until Arnold is done playing governor? Absolutely. Will Arnold be too old for the role by then? Maybe, but hey, look at Harrison Ford doing another Indiana Jones film. Guess it goes to show you that anything is possible.

I totally agree with everything regarding T4... but I must admit I would pay to see Keanu (Kuana?) Reeves play James T. Kirk. Purely for laughs of course :D
