Is there a way to know upcoming reviews at dvdtown? It would be nice to have it as a feature. Thanks!

We used to do that. But I found myself the only one updating it. Here are my upcoming reviews for the next few weeks: "Goodfellas" special edition; "Kill Bill 2"; "The Lost Boys" special edition; "The Black Hole" special edition; "Greystoke, the Legend of Tarzan"; "Red Sonja"; "Taking Lives"; "Spartan"; and "Mean Streets," among others.

alex28,

Sorry about nobody getting back to you on "Secret Window." The movie is a Sony (Columbia TriStar) release and as such belongs to another reviewer. I handle MGM, Warner Bros., Buena Vista, and Fox. I believe it's one of the films that fell through the cracks because of summer vacations and such. Our staff can't catch them all.

For what it's worth, I watched it just recently on DVD and loved Johnny Depp's performance. However, I didn't find the storyline out of the ordinary for Stephen King, except that it's not a supernatural thriller. Both my and wife and I guessed at the mystery's solution long before the end. Still, I enjoyed the atmosphere and acting and would have given it a 7/10. The Wife-O-Meter, ever more critical than I, said she would have assigned it a 6/10. In either case, it's an above-average suspense film.

John
