Im one of those users that visit this site not only for its good reviews, but for its forum also. Its actually the only reason i log on to this site most of the times. And its really annoying to click on "message board" to read some tech questions or stuff that i can learn from or help and actually see that 85% of the recent posts avaible are all "Missing DVD" Forum.
I Really started to loose my interest on the forum, this site was my No.1 Movie place to be 3 months ago! I Think it would've been better if you have a small button next to message board listing "Report Missing DVD". A User can type his Nick name in one space, and below, in a larger space, the names of the films that are missing, click send and a guy or some guys will See to it, or even better, by clicking "send" to feed the info directly into the database builder! That would save lots of times for the review stuff, which instead of doing their respectfull job, they are searching to complete the database, wasting precious worktime to complete reviews or articles. As for guys like the guy on the post which wishes to return in 2006 to check if the database is big enough for his taste, let him do it, its really very simple to avoid hiring people and wasting money, by just adding a database feeder. This site has character and still reatains a "humain" element. Loosing the interest on the forum for me at least is gonna be a great loss. This can be fixed.
Thank you for your time.

"yep, thats mainyl the reason why I only make about one post a week here, as opposed to my several per day back in the summer. this feature would be great!"

Matt,
What exactly is the reason you don't post here so often anymore, and specifically what feature would be great?

You know, it's hard to be everything to every person. The site has so many features, probably everyone comes here for something different. And the more new features our Editor devises, the more people the site attracts, each wanting only that feature to be expanded.
Ah, well, I'm glad I only write for the place. I can keep driving straight ahead and let Henning keep track of the traffic congestion.

I'll take that back. I got to learn to keep my temper and blood pressure under control. I don't feel like fighting with anyone.
Hey that's cool you have your reason for being here and I've got mine.
But you shouldn't have any problems with people posting missing DVDs when there is a board set up just for that purpose. Just go to others boards and blind yourself to the missing posts. :)

Unless you want to just dump all the other features and make it an exclusive message board, there's an idea too. ;)

I think that the "Report Missing DVD" is an excellent idea. We'll discuss it with the EIC. Thanks, S_Coaster! :)

I agree the "Missing DVD" posts get very annoying. In fact, I too lose interest in posting anything on the message board when all there is is a plethora of "Missing DVDS"!
I say we just steal Netflix's database and problem solved. lol :D
