I CAN'T CHANGE MY PICTUUUUUUURE!!! :.(
To Henning, or anyone else that knows... I've been trying to change my picture on my "my town" page, and it's not accepting my picture for one reason or another. When I click "change picture" it acts like it's uploading my pic, but then the original pic is still there. I've tried resizing the picture down to (around) 320 x 240, and it's at a reasonable size in JPG form. What the heck am I doing wrong? I haven't tried it in BMP form, but I figured that shouldn't matter. You guys probably have it set up to take either, especially since bitmap is uncompressed.
Any help y'all can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks
- Josh

"Thanks again" it's fixed now, or
"Thanks again" I'll try that?
I assume you hit "refresh" (or "reload") ?

DOH!! How could I have forgotten that?!! Thanks YCH! It's more than a little embarassing to admit that 6 years ago I was a computer tech. It's amazing how fast it all slips away.
Thanks again.

"That's really strange... I've cleared my internet history, deleted the cookies, and restarted my computer, and every time I login to DVD Town, it still shows my old picture. I'm not sure why you can see it John, and why it won't show when I login.
Any other idea's? "
BUT you haven't deleted your temporary internet files. Deleting your internet history and cookies won't do squat.

Could be a cache thing with your browser. Did you check that?

You DID change your picture this morning, from the original one to the new drawing. Is there yet another picture you're trying to upload, or did you finally get it to work?

I'm reminded of an old hi-fi buddy of mine, an older gentleman now deceased, who had been in the audiophile game for as long as loudspeakers existed, saying that no matter how much time you spend setting everything up and getting everything right (in a hi-fi system), something will always go wrong, something you hadn't figured on. Happens every time, so don't feel bad.
I was further reminded of this just last month when two young service technicians replaced a board in my Sony XBR television (at my house). When they finished everything and adjusted everything they were supposed to, the picture looked terrible. They went back into the rear of the set and adjusted the focus, the black level, the convergence, and the horizontal picture size. It now looks better than ever.
If something CAN go wrong, it WILL go wrong.
