what is the name of this movie

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but i can't find anywhere else. i am hoping someone knows the name of this movie and help me out. I tried to seearch all over but can't seem to find this movie, all i know is with this little description. This is a war movie, maybe WWII war movie between Germany and a group of soldiers, i am not sure from where. Maybe this movie was a european movie, Hungary perphaps but i am not sure, it could be any country in europe and maybe american movie too. The story started out when a group of paratroopers on a plane heading somewhere and they got shot down, they had to jump, maybe before the intended jumped designation. There was a name, I am not sure how to spell it, but it's something like deanop or something like that. There was also his combrade, who was rather large and was a funny man who always back this commander during gun fire. They had to go into Germany (maybe) to steal this important paper, maybe a map, or something of great important to the alllies. They went in this German General building and there were many traps, including a special tunnel right in this general office. Down beneath this tunnel, there were bodies of people the general wanted killed. No one get out alive when they fall down there. Usually they would stand on it and the general would release a mechanism or push a button and the door open and the victim fall in. The general even killed the very person that built that tunnel for him since he was afraid the that person will reveal the secret of that tunnel.

That's pretty much i know about this movie. One other thing about this rather large soldier i mentioned above is that he always kinda sing during the gun fire. he was very brave.

I am not sure if this movie is available now or not, but i sure like to get a name so i can watch it. Thanks for any help. Also, this movie is made probably before 1985 maybe longer than that. thanks again.

Sounds a little like "The Keep" from 1983, but your description is kind of short on details.

sorry i couldn't be more specific, but that's pretty much all i remember. this has been like 20 years, i watched it when i was very little. my recollection of this movie is that it is a black and white movie. One character always stick out in my mind is this name," deanop" This name does not sounds like american, so i thought it has to be somewhere in europe. I suspected it is hungarian, i looked up in google but no help.

about the movie, it's more like a war movie, and there were a lot of gun fire. these soldiers were flying on a mission and their plane got shot down, all of them jumped and i think there was one got shot and when landed, he was killed. The plane exploded in the sky. Their mission was to go to this castle to either obtain a certain paper or secrets. They got help on the way, but i can't remember what or who. I do remember of the tunnel that they at the end felt in, but the builder of the tunnel did made an emergency getaway route underneath without telling the german general who had it built.

if this is anything i think it has a slight chance of being an american movie, but it is more like european. maybe hungary, or german. thanks again for your reply and anyone who could think of or know anything about this movie. i would be greatful since this has been on my mind for a long time. i really wanted to watch it again if possible. thanks.

thanks for the link. I looked at the movie info but it's not it. The movie i am searching for is more like a straight forward war movie with a spy like plots but no horror or scary theme. I am trying to go thru the database at that site but my internet connection is slow, so i could only go thru it a little a day. hopefully i will get thru with it somehow and if this movie i am looking for is in that database at all. :) thanks for all the help.
