definitely don't remember it...thanks for the link!
weird how they did a movie based on a show that didn't even work.
i guess that's why they changed the whole plot.

I was pleasently surprised by this. I expected a lame weak-story movie.... wich is kinda what I got. But the level of humor and cool action took me by surprise, and I really enjoyed the film even though it did not reveal to me the meaning of the universe ;)

Wether or not is was someones school thesis or not does not really influence my oppinion of the film :p

Michael,

I hope you don't think I'm being petty in saying this, but it's the old English teacher in me: I think you mean there's nothing wrong with having and expressing an opinion, not with being opinionated. To be opinionated means to be one-sided, bigoted, stubborn, obstinate, or conceited; to have an opinion that you refuse to change. Critics, on the other hand, and I hope all people, should keep an open mind and form valid opinions where valid opinions are possible.

Still, I know what you mean and agree with you wholeheartedly. No offense meant about the definition.

There is nothing wrong with being opinionated, especially pertaining to movies. Given all of the zombie American filmgoers out there today, it would be nice if more people were opinionated when it comes to films, instead of watching crap everytime they go to a theater. I could probably guess that most American adults would rather pay to see something like "The Longest Yard" than something more intelligent, thought-provoking, and important like “Crash”.

Indeed, I tend to think that film-school graduates are pretentious, but that's just me ;)

I agree with Eddie that the action scenes in the second half were poorly filmed, especially the climax, but the film was entertaining. Some good laughs and neat characters were all around. It's exactly what I was hoping for, a good diversion for a few hours in the heat of the day.

Finally saw it. I liked the first third; I found the second, middle third, what I expected and at least tolerable; I hated the last third where everything comes apart.

I guess this is your typical Summer trash film. It was fun, witty dialog, canny action sequences, but, at the same time, it had a shallow plot, very weak on details, and required one to suspend reality to the maximum level. I can't say I hated it, and, in fact, I enjoyed most of it but I can't say I'm in love with it. I might watch it again during it's rental season, but don't have any plans to buy it.

6/10
