Quote: Its official, Batman Begins to be released on DVD November 1st. Just announced on DVD World USA.

I was just there, and I think some of their info may be incorrect since it lists it as being on a single disc set, which I think it would be stupid if Warner did it as a single disc, also, the site lists the aspect ratio as being 1.85:1 when I know for a fact that it was actually filmed at 2.40:1 (since the Imax version that I saw had bars on the top & bottom of the screen). But I hope it is November 1 when I can add it to my DVD collection.

WB hopes to have its first HD-DVDs available for the Christmas holidays, but there are doubts they can do it. If "Batman Begins" comes out in November, it may only be in standard definition, with a HD version to follow.

So does that mean we can expect HD-DVD around that time? (Batman is slated as one of WB's first HD films)

Hey Guys,
Just checked out DVD World USA again for any updates and the release date has been change from November the 1st to October 18th. So the rumored October 24th release wasn't so far of. I also sent them an email regarding the authenticity of the release date so I'll post you the reply whenever they send back. Also checked HMV UK and they've got for Pre-order aswell. Its a 2 Disc Set - PAL/2:35.1 - £15.99 - 17/10/05.

I like Batman Returns and enjoy some elements of Alien3, but you're on your own for the Godfather Part 3... ugh!

"Actually, when's the last time you saw Batman Returns? I just rented it not too long ago and it was horrible!!" -Drunkenmonkey2k2

Usually when people hate a movie, I dismiss it. But I hear a lot of people that hate Batman Returns and I LOVE that movie, probably more than the Joker Batman. The characters and their relationships in Returns are so complex and fascinating. The interactions between Keaton and Phfeiffer, whether in costume or not, are so awesome to watch. Plus, Phfeiffer did a GREAT job in that movie. I watch Batman Returns all the time; it's one of my favorite superhero movies. But everyone else seems to hate it and I don't know why. I think it's brilliant, much darker and more subtle than the first one. Has a great soundtrack, too. I find myself constantly defending this film only to be shot down. I also really like ALien 3 and Godfather Part III. Now I'm gonna get it...

I was just on the digital bits, and in the rumor mill, it is said that Warner will release Batman Begins and the other four Batman films in all new special editions on October 18. Hopefully all five films will be in 2 disc form (especially if Warner's giving House of Wax the 2 disc treatment) and hopefully will be avalible in a special boxset that includes all 5 films in 2 disc form (for a ten disc set)

Actually, when's the last time you saw Batman Returns? I just rented it not too long ago and it was horrible!! I also rented Batman Forever, and strangely enough I didn't think it was all that bad. Of course Batman & Robin was absolute crap and I will never watch that again :P I can't wait to add Batman Begins to my DVD collection though :)
