I want SE's of Batman and Batman Returns (and Batman Begins) in my collection so badly, but I could care less about the other two. Blech.

I've heard that Warner is planning to release Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin sometime in October, which is when it is expected that they will be releasing Batman Begins, but I wouldn't count on it until we hear something from Warner

I know Begins will be out in the fall, but is there a status on the last set of movies. I know the 1989 version was getting the 2 disc treatment, and Forever was having about 1/2 hour of deleted footage edited back in. Is there a release date?

I will not buy Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.
Batman Forever had great, zany villains but everything else is stale. Plus, I hate the flashback of Wayne's parents death every 5 min. Until Begins, I didn't care about Wayne's parents because they were never fleshed out.
Oh, and Batman and Robin, except for Uma Thurman looking hot, is just terrible all the way around.
So Begins, Batman and Returns is all I need.

I think of it as though Tim Burton/ Joel Schmacher's Batman films and Batman Begins as being part of two different series that use the same character. So, from the old series of film, I think Batman Returns is the best. Though I have to say that if you include Batman Begins as part of the same series as the Tim Burton/ Joel Schmacher films- then Batman Begins is easily the best of the five. Also, even though I consider them to be part of seperate series, I heard that when Batman Begins arrives in October on DVD, that the four other films will be seeing new 2 disc special editions and that a boxset will be avalible with the four other film with Batman Begins (and if they do that, then I will probably buy that set instead of buying BB on its own)

I hope Nolan does a commentary for the DVD.

So, there will be a boxset, but it just has Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, but does not include Batman Begins? But Batman Begins is still scheduled to arrive on October 18, is it? I think know if Begins is not in the boxset, I'll probably get Begins right when it comes out, and wait a while to get the boxset (if I get it at all)

I hope the boxset isn't like $100 CND cause that would really piss me off (especially seeing as how you can get the Batman Legacy (the 4 plain old version) for $31 at Futureshop.
