According to the news I've read, the films will be sold in a box set AND individually. Also, as reported on thedigitalbits.com, Batman Forever will NOT include the Director's Cut that was advertised before (not that it matters).
Also, I have a (sorry) unrelated question on SE DVD's. Paramount has a lot of films under their widescreen collection that, recently, have included many special features (Team America, Sky Captain, etc.) But the older films on this label have little or no features (Sleepy Hollow, Braveheart, South Park, Apocalypse Now) Will these older Paramount films and others be released with more in-depth features or not? DVD was relatively new in the mid-90's and maybe they didn't produce enough to make significant features. Anyway, any news on this would be super.

I don't think it will be that expensive, I would estimate that the set will go for anywhere between $40- $60 CDN at Future Shop/ Best Buy (same store, same company, same stuff, one has comission staff, one has non- comission staff), since most boxset that I've bought there have been in that range (with each one being in the $15- $20 price range individually)

On davisdvd.com they have posted an offical press release from Warner about the boxset with the four other Batman films in it, and it includes all the bonus material info and mentions that each of these new SEs will have a DTS soundtrack on them, now I'm wondering if the DVD of Batman Begins (which is not included in the press release) will also have a DTS soundtrack on it, since it's expected to arrive on the same day, and will also be a 2 disc set. I'm really want to hear Begins in DTS!

It's offical!! Warner has announced that Batman Begins will arrive in both a single disc and a double disc edition on October 18! Also, on many sites they have the cover art, I like the single disc cover, but will obviously be getting the double disc edition. Most of the bonus material has also been confirmed, but there is no offical word about a audio commentary or a DTS track. Hopefully, since the SE's of the other Batman films will also be recieveing both commentary and DTS tracks, Batman Begins will also recieve get a commentary (hopefully from Christopher Nolan and David Goyer, as reported in the past) and a DTS track (which it needs after originally seeing the film in IMAX). So it Begins on DVD October 18!

I saw this film again last week on an IMAX screen and loved it even more the second time around. However, unlike DVD Master182, I did not care for the DTS sound I heard. Maybe it was just the particular IMAX theater I saw it in, but the audio was all bass and treble, boomy and screechy, with dialogue so muffled behind the rest of the frequency range that I could sometimes barely understand what people were saying.
