Early buzz around the film suggests this might be Woody's best in a long time. Variety's Todd McCarthy compared it to Crimes and Misdemeanors. I've been somewhat disapointed with Woody's output over the past decade - so here's to hoping that the film is a change of pace.

It also appears as though Woody has found his latest muse in Scarlett.

Does no one here have any faith left in Woody? No interest in this film? This could be one of the year's best.

I'm also hoping for the best because, like you, I haven't found Allen's films of late very interesting. But since the movie doesn't open in the U.S. until Christmas day, most people haven't seen it yet to form an opinion.

I recently received an advance screener for it, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'll let you know what I think when I've had a moment to stick it in the machine.

Wow, thanks John! I'd appreciate that. I'm dying to know what someone else thinks.
