It seems that hollywood is not risking anymore. They are not producing anything that there isn;t an existing market for allready (ComicHeroes, PC Games).
Not only that, all of those transfers are formulaic to the bone.

God i miss the 80's-90's

Wasn't John Woo attached to this project originally?

I thought it was to be faithful to the original red-bandana wearing turtles.

I'm still excited. Sometimes... I can still here... "Four baby turtles" in my head.

RIP Splinter.

There may be a market somewhere in the world for this, but it is films like this that make me want to stop going to the movies.

Hah!

I suffer from the unfortunate curse that my little brother grew up on the Turtles and I had to take him to see all of the films and watch the show with him. Kind of like Tim's enjoying SpongeBob.

I didn't like the second and third films, but for some sick reason - I love the original.

Well, I guess you can chalk that up to the old "Guilty Pleasure" persona. I have the same issue with certain films. For example, for some sick reason I still like "Howard the Duck." Yes, I know, it's bad, but oh well. ;)

I had nasty things to say about X-Men III a while ago and somehow got a back-blow from a few &quotregulars". But I still find that the prejudice of film simply no longer exists (or maybe it's always been missing, just not as blatantly). So much in the industry is founded on economic growth that it's tainted the medium. I like to think of films like TMNT as the porn magazine to Shakespeare's Tempest. Maybe Elizabethan England had tawdry publications, but at least it was kept on the down-low (which Bill was commonly known to deem it).

Film is simply more easily seen as being shallow these days (Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Hollywood Access, Inside Access: Hollywood Edition, what have you), which is why I'm depressed that studious support worthless films like these.

Does that help, XXX? Sorry, but every film can't be awesome and cool, that kind of generous view allows too much bad art.
