Why do you assume that actors who aren't working need jobs? "Star Trek" regulars since the mid-1980s take home comfortable paychecks that allow them to do small pet projects after their series ends. Some do voice acting when they feel like it, and most do theatre, which is where most "Star Trek" actors were found in the first place. Just because you don't know what they're doing doesn't mean that they are starving.

Ok, it's wrong of me to assume they're starving.
i do know that a lot of ST actors work the convention circuit, and make a living through that. And, yeah, cartoon/video game voice-over work and theater and B-Movies and Direct to video movies are another route to take. It just doesn't seem like a very fruitful film or tv career that many of these actors lead. Y'know.. I do believe all of these actors don't want to make their living that way. They want to be back in the camera, back to being stars or co-stars in movies and television shows. After Star Trek, they usually remain in Star Trek whether in ST conventions, ST movies, or ST video game voice overs.
William Shatner still works and is on Boston Legal currently, and he has directed a really shitty Bmovie called Groom Lake. He's also going to be in Miss Congeniality 2.
Jonathan Frankes directed the critically lambasted and box office dud Thunderbirds, so I don't know what he'll direct next or who would hire him. I was having hope that Thunderbirds would succeed, and he'd have a super-directing career.
Patrick Stewart has the XMen movies. Had Star Trek Nemesis not flopped, he would be in two major franchise movies. according to IMDB.com, he pocketed 14 million for his role in Star Trek Nemesis. I'm sure he's not starving.
