What a great post!! But a difficult decision. Having put 7,000+ songs on my iPod, it would be nearly impossible to pick out 1 favorite album. Anything I can listen to from start to finish, without skipping ANY tracks, and even repeating a few during playback constitutes a great album, or favorite album:

Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon, Echoes
Soundgarden-Superunknown
Depeche Mode-Violator
Redman-Whut? Thee Album
Interpol-Turn On the Bright Lights, Antics
Nirvana-Nevermind, Incesticide
Stone Temple Pilots-Purple
Lost Highway soundtrack
U2-The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby
Radiohead-OK Computer
Alice In Chains-Dirt
Deftones-Around the Fur

and anything Nine Inch Nails

Damn, I could go on!! I feel bad leaving some out, but these are the top in my opinion, mainly because I have some fond memory glued to some of them or something sappy like that. 8)

Hey San Jose Shark....good call w/ A Perfect Circle and Tool! Do you happen to have Tool's "Salival?" The DVD with their videos and the bonus CD? I know it's OOP, but I'm looking for a copy and can't seem to find one. Not that I expect you to give me yours if you have one, but....know of anywhere I might score a copy?

Thanks in advance!

EVERYTHING SMASHING PUMPKINS, TOOL, RADIOHEAD, PEARL JAM, LED ZEPPELIN, THE DOORS, A PERFECT CIRCLE, NIRVANA

But my favorite of all time is Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. I have been a HUGE Smashing Pumpkins fan since 1993 and love Billy Corgan's music.

Don't forget he has a solo album coming out this spring! YES!!

Oh yeah and the best band that i have seen live is TOOL! AMAZING!

Frank Sinatra - It Might as well be Swing - From Mr. S to the whole Basie band this is a true classic. I see alot of hard rock on this list and I dig on all music but nothing is better than sitting on a balcony starring at the Skyline, drinking and listing to some Frank Sinatra. PEace

There are many answers I could give... but just going with one (possibly at random) I'd go with:

Beautiful Freak by the Eels.

Beatles: Abby Road, Revolver, the White Album (#9 . . . #9 . . . #9) and Rubber Soul.

Pink Floyd: The Wall, Animals, and Dark Side of the Moon.

AC/DC: Highway to Hell and Back in Black.

Van Halen: First Album, Mean Street, Balance.

Rush: A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres, 2112, Roll the Bones, and Test for Echo.

Counting Crows: All 4 albums are great plus they write some of the best heartfelt ballads I've heard in years.

Jimmy Hendrix: Any album of his works for me!

Queensryche: Operation Mind Crime (have this one live on DVD, as well), and Promised Land.

Led Zepplin: 1, 2, and Houses of the Holy (if you really want to hear their best stuff, just buy the 4 CD box set).

The Eagles: Hotel California, and the Long Run.

Aerosmith: Toys in the Attic, Rocks, Permanent Vacation, and Nine Lives.

Eric Clapton: The Unplugged CD.

Dwight Yoakam: Guitars and Cadillac’s.

Radiohead: The Bends, OK Computer, and Amnesiac.

I’m sure I could name off some more; however, this is all I can think of right now off the top of my head.
