If anyone bared the first 30-45 minutes of the extreemely shaky film and actually finished it will understand that this is a movie Shot backwards in a very expiremental way, its a film about a rape and how it can "stab" one's soul and change other peoples's life. (preety much in the same lines that "21 grams" is moving)It's tagline claims "time destroys everything",starring monica belucci.
The film is violent, and has the most realistic rape scene ever filmed.
During its screening at the cannes festival of the 2400 people that watched the film, 200 walked away during the first 30-45 minutes (its actually written on the back of the french dvd release), why?
Because the first 30 minutes of the film has a background noise with a frequency of 28Hz (low frequency, almost inaudible), similar to the noise produced by an earthquake. In humans, it causes nausea, sickness and vertigo. In fact, it was added with the purpose of getting this reaction.
Can your average HomeTheater Sub Produce that in that constant rate?
The power of sound :)
