Anybody know if there are any plans or rumors regarding a special edition of Kill Bill? The extra features on the standard releases leave me wanting much much more and I'm getting impatient.
Also, how about a better release for L.A. Confidential?

Tarantino Likes to warn his fans for fututre better releases of his works...even though he is a box-office master...he hates the studio system...so if he said smt recently or when the 1st dvd came out...they probably will

I think it's a safe bet that there will be a jam packed edition of both versions. Tarantino likes to hook you up with special features. Look at his first three films Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, and Pulp Fiction. They are filled up to the wazoo with special features. I think there will definitely be special editions of both but it's just a matter of when.

Rumor has it that a special edition set, which will include both "Kill Bill" films, is planned for release August.

The New York Times ran a piece last fall about their being a Special Edition for each volume, then quoting Tarantino about a sort of Ultimate Edition combining both films with even more footage being added in. The SE's should be out this Christmas with the combined film coming, I would guess, in about a year from now.

I hope there will be a commentary by QT on this new edition of "Kill Bill".
