On the 2nd disc of the new DVD for The Others, when I go to the main page of the photo gallery, I can't get any further. It won't let me navigate, so I can't see the pictures. Anyone else having this problem??

To quote from my own review: The still gallery I was unable to get to work, unfortunately; it kept freezing up on me no matter how many times I cleaned the disc or restarted it in my player.

Buena Vista DVDs have been notorious for giving consumers compatability related headaches (for example, the Dinosaurs DVDs). You can try contacting the Mouse House, or you can try to access the photo gallery on your DVD-ROM drive. I happen to be lucky with my Toshiba DVD player--I can see the photo gallery. :-)

I also have "The Others" DVD with problems. I can't play the first disc on my newer PowerMac with SuperDrive. I really wanted to see the movie so I tried it on my iMac and had the same problem. I even went to Blockbuster's to rent it, brought it home, popped it into my SuperDrive, and had the EXACT same problem. First disc will not play and the second one will. I ended up renting the VHS.:(

You don't have a stand-alone DVD player for your TV? Oh, well, c'est la vie. DVD-Video discs are supposed to be guaranteed to play in DVD-Video players, though that guarantee is not really extended to DVD-ROM drives. Ack.
Have you tried playing your disc in a DVD player? If it doesn't work then, then you might want to exchange the copy that you have.
