Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut

There's been a lot of talk recently about a possible Director's/expanded cut of Kingdom of Heaven being released. Often, Ridley Scott will go back and do 3-disc versions of his films, often extended, i.e. Black Hawk Down and Gladiator. So, it would seem reasonable to assume that he'll do the same with this film, especially as he himself has said that there was meant to be a lot more in the film and that he'd like to see a extended cut. If this is true, does anyone know anything about it, and if and when it'll be released. If anyone has any real details, it'd be nice for it to be added to the database, so I and others who are interested can keep up with it. The release of a barebones and then an extended/finite cut is getting troublesome, i.e. Alien vs Predator and Sin City, so any early details would be greatly appreciated.
