Munich

By this time, the majority of last year's Academy Award nominees have already, or about to be, released. So, anyone have any idea what gives with Spielberg's Munich?

In less than two months (May 9th to be exact) it will be released in 2 different editions, a single disc edition and a 2 disc special edition that has a 7-part documentary. Both editions will have a video introduction by Steven Spielberg.

So if we know this to be true, can we expect it to be added to the library anytime soon?

I hope he doesn't do what he did with Schindler's List, where he's going around to schools to tell kids how important the movie is historically.

We add titles to our database just as soon as they are officially announced at a studio's press site. Unlike some other DVD news and reviews sites, we don't indulge in hope, hearsay, or gossip, no matter how much fun it is to do so or how much interest it may generate. So far, though, a check with both DreamWorks and Universal reveals no studio announcement.

My apologies, I was under the impression that the dates Onijay released were official, I understand and agree with what you're saying.

No need to attack, behead, castrate, disembowel and flog the messenger, no matter how much fun it may be.

I must admit I felt a little attacked for simply sharing information that I had read at a couple other sites and thought seemed accurate, but I certainly wasn't offended, so it's all good.

Do you mean me to you, Onijay? If so, that wasn't my intention either. I can't seem to avoid offending someone on this board. Though disembowel does sound amusing to some degree...
