'Star Wars': The CGI Series

Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi will be returning to the screen, but this time they'll be animated, and the screen will be much smaller -- the size of the one in your living room, George Lucas indicated Thursday. In an interview with the Associated Press, Lucas said that his company is currently producing a new digitally animated version of Clone Wars. "It basically has all the main [Star Wars] characters," Lucas told the AP. He indicated that the show will be ready to air next year but that it hasn't been sold to a network yet.

Wait. You mean Lucas's latest main characters in Episodes I, II and III weren't CGI animations?

LOL good point :) Especially Episode 2, that was like watching a digital cartoon. Still if this new series looks anything like the Shrek movies or a Pixar movie it should be pretty cool to watch. Especially when it comes out in hi-def! You know George is gonna release this series on hi-def at some point :)
