The Online Film Critics Society to which I belong has over 150 members, all of them among the leading reviewers on the Web. The vast majority of them are not paid. We do it (in what I hope you won't construe as mock humilty) because we love movies, because we have some experience and expertise in movies, and because we enjoy sharing our thoughts with others and possiby promoting further discussion.
If you'd like to apply for a reviewing job, we accept applications, resumes, and sample reviews for consideration. If you'd like to work behind the scenes, adding data and such, contact the Editor through Reader Feedback at the bottom of the page.
And if you'd like to continue to chat, keep writing. We really are always here. :)

Well...I appreciate your reviews because they are very thorough and informative. I've actually purchased some movies because of some of the reviews on this site. Now that I know you guys are not getting paid for your time or efforts I appreciate what you guys do even more. Looking at some of the reviews it's easy to see that each one of them took some time to do...time you could be spending with families, friends, doing house chores, running a business, etc.
What I'm trying to say is that your efforts are greatly appreciated by more than a few of us as we share that some love of movies that you guys have.
