It seems I'm rather invested in these...
Firstly, the infamous Blade Runner cut, it was supposed to happen early this year, did that fall through?
Secondly, the rumored Underworld- Evolution director's cut seemed reasonable to expect as the 1st film got that treatment. Yet, it's a year later, any news?

There hasn't been any recent news about these releases.
The Blade Runner release was officially announced by Warner previously so we know that it will be released someday for sure.
On the other hand, Underworld: Evolution director's cut was just a rumor. It is a possibility but don't get your hopes up. Director Len Wiseman is currently working on "Live Free or Die Hard" (Die Hard 4) so don't expect an Underworld 2: DC anytime during at least the first half of this year. An Underworld Prequel is scheduled for 2009 so maybe IF there is a DC, it could be released as late as the end of 2008.
That's just my opinion based on my knowledge of these releases so don't look at this as me speaking fact.

Thanks, I hope the Underworld 2 DC does in fact happen, it's not a bad action film, but it could use some filling out. Oh, and I'd heard about the prequel, I hope Bill Nighy returns.

I don't know if this is what you're referring to, but a Blade Runner: The Director's Cut Remastered Limited Edition was released September 5, 2006. I believe there is going to be a more comprehensive set later on this year, but I don't remember the details.
