DVD-E235; Problem geting Visuals.

Hi, a few friends of mine bought the Samsung E235 player some tie ago while they ware at Russia, and when they got back to Canada, they weren't able to get visuals from the machine. I took a look at it and the problem is: I do get visuals and sound, but the picture is very jumpy, to the level I cant manage to even read the menus. if you know anything that I should try. please post it here.

why didnt he just get a canadian player, instead of risking it with a russian one?

Not to be too suspicious, but are you sure it's a Samsung? Everything is copied/counterfeited these days. And are you sure it was new when bought? How old is it? Is there still a warranty? I'd advise tossing it and buying a cheap Sony at Fry's or Best Buy.

I don't really know why they bought a player in Russia, maybe they got it from relatives or something. any way I think they wanted to ship it back to their children in Russia if it didn't work. but they just wanted to be sure, anyway thanks for the advice.

It might be because the Russian region code is incompatible with Region 1.
