While not necessarily a defect, does anyone have a recommend for a cheap (or free) DVD decoder that is compatible with Windows XP? I have the DVD rom drive and everything, it's just my Interactual is incompatible with Windows XP and I'ld really like to use those DVD rom features on certain discs. So any sugestions would help.

try the Windows XP patch for Interactual first, then look for another program if that doesn't fix it.

I found the FREE DVD player software at - EXTERNAL LINK - excellent. It does require you to accept a search bar but this can be removed in the "add/remove" part of control panel. It is a fairly small download and does everything I want of a player. It supports s-video CD, video CD & DVD so is not just a one hit wonder!
