Hi John,

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it before, and maybe it's nitpicking, but I'd like to see my collection reflected accurately. There are many DVD editions not in the database, for example, Dracula and Frankenstein, 75th Anniversary Editions. I have to list editions I don't have, or even have listed movies with no cover art (?) just to keep track. So what's up with that? Oh, and some of the titles and edition information from existing DVDs listed are incomplete or worded strangely, for example: Exorcist, The - but no Cell, The or Ten Commandments, The (?) and [Old Version] as an edition description?

Please help.
Am I late to the party? I thought if I waited long enough some of these problems since the revamping might be solved, but it's been a while.

Thanks

in my experience, i've found that the best way to keep track of my collection is to list them in a word or excel file on my computer. it's frustrating relying on someone else's database because you're under someone else's mercy.

From August 12th we will have to guys dedicated to one thing. Making sure that our database is up-to-date. We have been flooded in new releases lately but know it is critical to be as up-to-date as possible and are acting accordingly with more hands.

Yes. In "My Collection" just click on "Request Release" and tell us what you need us to add to the database.

Most of my movies in my request release have been there for over a month now. How much longer do we have to wait?

you don't have to wait for anyone if you maintain a database of your collection with a word or excel file. (Y)

Yes Eddie,

You've now posted twice that if we keep track of own stash we needn't rely on others to do it for us. In my case you're preaching to the choir since I've always kept track. My point is, I would like this particular forum to keep better track. There are plenty of sites where I can certainly have a more accurate presentation of my collection. I simply would like it to be better here in DVD Town. Can anyone appreciate what I'm trying to say without my having to get sentimental or mushy about it? In other words: DVD Town...completes me.

Well, maybe one day~

perhaps, but is it really worth your time (and others') to keep asking for fixes that are never made? :-)

Eddie,

Are you slipping back into libertarianism? I thought we had cured you of that.

Please don't start a fight again.

We are very sorry for your delays. I will make sure that we get up to speed on this. Before the end of the week we will make sure that the wait time is down to maximum two weeks. By the end of August we will have the wait time down to 5 days.
